  5. SENDING FROM CONNECT (or MACNet) TO DASnet/Internet

  7.      In order to send mail through the DASnet gateway, the following
  8. address scheme must be used. In the "To:" field, type DASNET. In the
  9. first line of the text field, type the DASnet address enclosed in
  10. quotes, followed by @DASNET.

  12.      Example:       To:       DASNET

  14.                  Subject:     Your Subject
  15.  
  16.                  "username@jupiter.ucsc.edu"@DASNET

  19. SENDING FROM Internet/DASnet TO CONNECT (or MACNet)

  21.      The machine name for the gateway to CONNECT is DCJCON. The user

  27. LIMITATIONS

  29. 1.  No error messages are given if your mail is incorrect in any way.

  31. 2.  You cannot send any enclosures; the gateway is for electronic mail
  32. only.

  34. 3.  You will not receive an acknowledgement if your message was
  35. delivered, or not delivered.
